CHAMONIX VALLEY SKI AREAS
Chamonix's reputation as the off-piste capital is well founded but there is much more to Chamonix than its off-piste sking. With 5 major skiing areas + 4 dedicated to beginners and access to Courmayeur, Italy and Verbier, Switzerland on the UNLIMTED pass, you will be hard pressed not to find the right terrain for your ability.
Le Tour
Starting at the eastern end of the valley on the Swiss border Le Tour Col de Balme has a large open bowl facing west with excellent easy intermediate terrain; on the east and north faces you will find some excellent tree lined runs, a few steeper faces for the experts and some gentle off-piste. The perfect place for your first day back on skis or an introduction to the higher slopes.
